(Yet! Another! Textless page! It’s a full page illustration of Imogen sitting on the floor of her bedroom, illuminated by the light of Jonathan’s phone. Visible behind her are the grey and blue ‘text message’ bubbles used throughout the comic, empty except for a few scattered hearts. Her expression is crushed.)
oh no, so he is actually cheating on her, oh no, poor Imogen, it was a good idea not to show what the text say because I think we already can imagine. I hope Imogen can talk to her friend about it and find a way to survive without that dude, or I hope she can face him about this, although he would probably deny it or blame it on her somehow
My biggest wish for Imogen is that she doesn’t do what so many do in her situation… decide that she needs to fix the relationship and take on 100% of the responsibility for doing so.
100%
But then, I fear that that sounds just like her.
We knew this was coming, but it’s still sad…
Just b/c you know it’s gonna happen, doesn’t make it any easier to see it, even in fiction….
Good choice in the writing, to not show the text.
I’ve been through this scene IRL, and watching Imogene go through it in fiction is just heartbreaking.
No. Girl. Noooo.
UUUGH.
YOU ARE SO TALENTED. AND SKILLED.
Seriously you are amazing.
This story is breaking my heart, but your execution is stunning.
Yeah…yeahhh…….u_u
She looks suddenly so young and vulnerable here. I like the visibility of her wedding ring in the center of the image.
my expression is crushed
Heartbreaking page, but beautifully done. Thankyou.
Oh, my poor heart !
But even with a broken heart, I am still amazed by the beauty of this page ! I don’t know what is it, the colors, the composition… but i really love this image !
