Panel 1 (Alex welcomes Imogen back into her house. Her kitchen and dining table are messy)
Alex: So, I may have left him a mess to clean up…
Panel 2 (Alex chastises Imogen for starting to clean up)
Alex: Hey, no! We’re here to get your stuff! Leave that!
Imogen: I can’t just leave it, Alex. They’re my kids.
Panel 3 (Alex, still exasperated)
Alex: You don’t have to clean up everyone’s messes!
Panel 4 (textless, Imogen looking lost, giving Alex puppy eyes)
Panel 5 (Alex pinches the bridge of her nose)
Alex: Okay… baby steps.
Oof. The puppy dog eyes are strong with this one. <3
this my aunt and her kids … she will go to their houses and clean even if they say not to ……and believe me until they moved out they took full advantage of it
I get what Alex is saying, but I also think Imogen’s feelings here are valid and of course she’d want to take care of that, especially since it’s not like Jonathan would likely clean it himself, it’d just end up dumped on the kids.
The problem here is that then it just means that nothing changes for Jonathan. Actually things are better for him, he can just leave the house a mess, Imogen well come next day to clean and he doesn’t even have to try to apologize to her or pretend he likes her. I hope Imogen realizes what she’s doing is not something positive
Honestly, though, he’d probably just either *not* do it, or he’d get one of the kids to do it, so I feel like that’s not really an effective punishment for Jonathan.
