Imogen: I’ve never left anyone before.
Panel 5 (a close-up of Alex, looking pensive)
Alex: I have.
tfw washing the dishes isn’t your job, or hers, but you can’t leave her to do it on her own.
I also know, for me, when I’m angry, especially if it’s relationship related, washing dishes is a routine that helps me calm down and organize my thoughts, and I imagine it will perform a similar role here.
I’m so intrigued, I want to know what comes next. Alex’s backstory time
i bet this is going to be about the chef in the restaurant Imogen and Alex were meeting Alex’s friends at (and Imogen chickened out of )
Oh, Imogen. I felt that. Waking up one morning and having that existential crisis of “who am I outside of a wife and mother? Who am *I* ?” My husband didn’t cheat, but I ultimately decided leaving was the best for everyone. It definitely wasn’t easy to leave, and I can only hope I am headed in the right direction now, but there have been wonderful friends and family supporting me along the way and it looks like Imogen has a great friend to help her through this too. I’m looking forward to see where this story goes.
I do really look forward to finding out what Alex’s experience was like.
