I am returned from ECCC, and what a wonderful show it was!! I can’t believe it took me so long to get back into going to shows (well, yes, I can, there were Reasons) because I feel super jazzed about meeting people and talking about comics and hanging out with friends. Comics are great! Being an artist is great sometimes! Wow! It’s just one of those things that reminds you why you’re even in the game at all!
If you stopped by: THANK YOU!!! You made my weekend!

TRANSCRIPT
Panel 1 (Alex and Imogen sit on the porch bench still)
Imogen: But, hey! Now I can tell you. I got a call from the lawyer! She said he’s giving up. Instead of fighting me on everything, he’s selling the house and moving.
Alex: No way! And the kids?
Imogen: He doesn’t even want Lu, the bastard. But the boys, I’ll have them most of the time. And… Alex, it’s a LOT of money. I don’t even know what to think. I… won? I’ve been in limbo for so long… it feels like my life can start. Without needing to depend on some guy.
Panel 2 (Alex hugs Imogen)
Alex: Holy shit! That’s so good! What a relief for you!
Panel 3 (Alex, still embracing Imogen)
Alex: Promise me the next time you get married, it won’t be because you think you need a man to support you. You don’t. You kick ass.
Panel 4 (Imogen, looking away)
Imogen: Haha… yeah…
When Imogen gets married again I don’t think she’ll be marrying a man.
Hmm, you sure? I dunno, it might go either way 🤔 (kidding, we all know the title, we’re waiting patiently for it)
“He doesn’t even want Lu, the bastard.” The phrasing on this has so many interpretations aaa
I know what Alex means, but “the next time you get married” would probably carry baggage even without her queerness revelations. I am sure Imogen doesn’t take offense, though, and gets the spirit it is meant in.
Obviously Jonathan’s serial killer mistress has already murdered him.
Aaaaah talk to her you dork 💖 At least let her know you’re questioning, if she’s *somehow* missed that while you’ve been living with her (and bringing home GSA pamphlets and all that)
